Lisa Fiest

Mrs. Fiest has been working with military-connected students for 21 years. Originally from Buffalo, New York, she relocated to North Carolina where she began her teaching career in the Onslow County School District just outside the gates of Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville. Since joining DoDEA, she has served as a middle school music teacher at Brewster Middle School aboard Camp Lejeune in North Carolina (Mid-Atlantic District), elementary music teacher at Kingsolver Elementary School, Macdonald Intermediate School and Van Voorhis Elementary School (Southeast District), middle school music teacher at Scott Middle School (Southeast District), and Interim Assistant Principal at Kingsolver Elementary School (Southeast District). Mrs. Fiest has also had the honor to serve as Continuous School Improvement Chairperson, RTI/MTSS Co-Chair, Specialist Professional Learning Team Leader, Gifted Education Review Team Member, and Building Faculty Representative.

Mrs. Fiest earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia before pursuing a graduate degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. More recently, Mrs. Fiest has also earned a graduate degree in Elementary Education (Teaching and Learning) from Liberty University. 

Granddaughter of a WWII Army service veteran and spouse to a United States Marine Corps veteran, Mrs. Fiest feels a strong personal connection to the military community. She has always highly respected those that serve our nation and enjoys supporting the needs of military-connected students and families in whatever capacity is needed.

Mrs. Fiest has had the opportunity to serve in all but one of our community schools since moving to Fort Knox 13 years ago. Having previously served as Interim Assistant Principal for Kingsolver Elementary School, Mrs. Fiest is looking forward to another opportunity to serve the needs of the Fort Knox Schools while helping to build and support positive relationships with all of Kingsolver Elementary School’s stakeholders!
