Dear Kingsolver Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Kingsolver Elementary School!

To our returning families, welcome back. We are excited to continue our partnership with you as we build upon the success of previous years. To our new families joining the Kingsolver community, a special welcome! We are honored that you are now part of the Kingsolver family and look forward to getting to know you. We understand that transitions can be both exciting and challenging, especially for military-connected families, and we are committed to ensuring that every new scholar and family feels welcomed, supported, and connected from day one. Our staff is here to help you navigate your new school community and answer any questions you may have as we begin this journey together.

As we begin another exciting year of learning, I want to thank you for the trust you place in us each day. At Kingsolver, our commitment remains steadfast: Every Scholar, Every Chance, Every Day. Guided by our mission to educate, engage, and empower military-connected scholars, we are dedicated to ensuring high levels of learning and success for every child.

At Kingsolver Elementary School, Respectful, Responsible, and Safe are more than just words. They are our schoolwide expectations that guide how we learn, lead, and interact with one another each day. We are committed to holding every scholar to the highest standards of character, behavior, and academic effort while providing the support they need to be successful. By fostering a culture of mutual respect, personal responsibility, and safety, we create an environment where all scholars can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

This year, we will continue our focus on strong core instruction in every classroom. Our teachers are committed to delivering engaging, rigorous, and standards-based learning experiences that build essential skills across all content areas. We believe that every scholar can achieve at high levels when provided with excellent instruction, meaningful learning opportunities, and the encouragement to persevere through challenges. Our goal is to ensure that each scholar grows academically while developing the confidence and skills needed for future success.

We also know that a strong school-family partnership is essential to student achievement. Parents and guardians are a child's first and most important teachers, and we invite you to be active participants in your scholar's educational journey. Whether through regular communication with teachers, volunteering, attending school events, participating in the PTO, or supporting learning at home, your involvement strengthens our entire school community. Together, we can provide the support and encouragement our scholars need to excel.

As we begin the year, I encourage all families to stay connected through our school website and calendar. We look forward to continuing opportunities that bring our school community together, including school tours, Parent University sessions, PTO activities, and other family engagement events throughout the year. These events provide valuable opportunities to learn, connect, and partner with us in supporting student success.
